PROJECT INTERN (WESTERN CAPE)

A little about this position:

The Primary role of the Projects Intern is to gain the necessary skills and workplace experience within his field of study.  In addition the intern will assist the project team with technical support in the design, development and/or implementation of HVAC related projects.

Role ResponsibilityDesign professional presentations
Consulting Implementation Standard reporting per reporting schedule (Daily, Monthly and Quarterly).
Gain skills in engineering project development and management in mechanical, electrical, process, utilities, HVAC services and facilities. 
Identifying efficiency issues, commercial feasibility and suggesting functional solutions in focused continuous improvement projects.
Ensuring all project documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings. 
Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings. 
Undertaking project tasks as required. 
Analyse commercial documents such as proposals, quotes and contracts and compile summaries. 
Quality control to be adhered to on all projects – monitor different departments for compliance on project management processes. 
Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable. 
Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures. 
Capture client needs accurately and setup project requirements. 
Compile equipment lists from project proposals and process flow diagrams. 
Monitor progress on project tasks and compile progress reports.
Required QualificationCertified B.Tech/B.Eng/B.Sc Mechanical Engineering 
Valid Driver’s License 
Project Management with strong technical engineering ability Experience in CAD such as Solidworks and AutoCAD will be advantageous

Letter of Placement from institution for P1/P2
Practical Experience or Letter of completion
