| Introduction And Role Context | The HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for the installation of HVAC Units, split and chiller units, cooling towers; hanging equipment, running pipe and moving equipment. This position also prepares and secures complete materials lists, and maintains good communication with customers and project team members. |
| Duties / responsibilities | Install HVAC equipment in accordance with work ordersPlans sequence of functions necessary for installation projectsLocate, diagnose and make repairs to ensure continuous, safe and efficient installation of all equipment.Keep supervisor appraised of work progressTrack and monitor all parts and materials used in installation activitiesEnsure that final work meets quality standards and is inspected by SupervisorMaintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workersPerform other miscellaneous duties as assignedTimely completion of paperwork including but not limited to timesheets, on-site documentation |
| Required Qualification and experience | 3 – 5 years HVAC Industry and installation experience 3 – 5 years’ experience in HVAC or service industryProven experience working on new construction and retrofits projectsValid driver’s licenceMatric/Grade 12 or equivalentN4 Certificate (advantegous)Knowledge and ability to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performedInternal organisational systems and controlsBe familiar with a wide range of equipmentAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams and drawingsReport formattingHigh level of technical competence |
