Vacancy	HVAC TECHNICIANS (NATIONAL)
About us	SFI Group (Pty) Ltd, a national air-conditioning and maintenance company seeks to employ an experienced, HVAC Technician who will be is primarily responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of different air-conditioning equipment by performing scheduled maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the HVAC environment, be trade qualified, have in-depth knowledge and skills of various HVAC equipment and systems and may be required to oversee a small site or teams on projects for a designated period.
Duties/responsibilities	Troubleshoot/ fault-finding, repairing and test ventilation and air-conditioning systems as per job cards Timeous execution of planned maintenance projects and activities Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act. Liaise with Processing Centre for ordering and maintenance of parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC Equipment Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working order and are used properly Maintain proper site house-keeping on completion of work at customer site Provide exceptional customer service and take due care to avoid damage to customer property Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements. Installation, maintenance, repairs and servicing of HVAC equipment and systems Prepare and maintenance a variety of HVAC and mandatory company documentation
Required Qualification and experience	3 – 5 Years’ experience in a similar industry/service industry excellent commercial refrigeration experience; Adherence to SLA and contractual terms of services. 3 – 5 Years supervising staff ability to work independently Valid Driver’s License
Additional Criteria	Meet requirements above; Clear Criminal Record.
Knowledge	Sound Testing / troubleshooting / fault finding knowledge In-depth knowledge of installation, maintenance, repairs and servicing of different HVAC Systems, including: · Chilled water systems, · cooling towers, · pumps, · split units, · cold rooms, · freezer rooms and · VRF/VRV. Strong administration and organisational skills Knowledge of service, product, and installation methods Computer room cooling, packaged units, air handling units, multistage evaporative cooling and ventilation systems Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans. Good understanding of electrical and control circuits
