Here at SFI Group we recently assisted Old Mutual Pinelands Campus (a 6 Green Star Rated building) overcome limitations with their existing diffusers, resulting in a more efficient and user-friendly system.

The Challenge:

The client’s existing diffusers, powered by 12V MLM technology, had become obsolete. Rickard, the manufacturer, discontinued the system, leaving no spare parts available for repairs or replacements. This lack of spare parts made it impossible to repair diffusers and effectively control the temperature in different areas of the building. Additionally, the 12v system lacked communication capabilities, further hindering adjustments and troubleshooting.

The Solution:

Our team implemented a comprehensive diffuser upgrade, designed by Spoormaker and Partners; replacing the outdated 12v system with a modern 24V MLM system. This new generation technology offers several key advantages:
